That was good. I've always liked Garrison Keillor. And, I think your book-reading goal is a good one. I agree with you on skipping Ulysses and Finnegan's Wake, though. With so many enjoyable, understandable books out there, why waste your time on reading that's pure drudgery?

I think my favorite quotes from the readers' letters were "Have a good time farting in your rocking chair while Big Brother carts away the Constitution" and "To call [crooked politicians] weasels is to insult innocent forest creatures." [angry cat noises] Thanks for that, John, lol. It is indeed a good idea to smell the roses while you're trimming thorns.
