The articles dealing with Christianity over at Salon.com are usually ridiculously ignorant (just look at the responses they get in the "Letters"). But this one, an interview with Chris Hedges (a journalist I respect), as inflammatory as it at first sounds, I think really hits the mark on some things. The article itself seems a little incomplete, though, so I think I'm going to have to read the book.
I'll Come Up With a Title Later.

Have you read his other book? It's pretty thought provoking. Bj owns it if you haven't had a chance to delve into it. I'd recommend it.
Hey John; thanks for linking to this -- muy interesante. I'm probably not gonna get to read all 200+ regular reader responses but the 15 or so editor's choice letters are really good.
Recently there was a similar article in the Adventist Review by an older Religious Liberties director (Bert B. Beach) about the perils of all shades of fundamentalism. It tied in fairly well with the Salon interviewee's broad concerns (though of course it wasn't at all cynical about the Christian's "pipe dream"). If I can link to it, I will.
