High Recommendation

A couple of days ago, I bought something I'd been meaning to buy for years. I'm glad I did.

It's the Los Angeles Master Chorale performing some of Morten Lauridsen's music. I've loved Lauridsen's stuff, and particularly O Magnum Mysterium (below), ever since I played the concert band version of the song with ACU's wind ensemble a couple of years ago. I'd really recommend it.



If you like it, I'd recommend Eric Whitacre's stuff, too. This one's based on a favorite poem of mine by ee cummings.
