My Students...

Sometimes I forget that they are idiots.

Not the dumb kind.

Just the kind that doesn't know anything yet.

I'd love to see that article you mentioned. E-mail it to me if you get a chance.

Also, I learned an interesting fact about left-handers on the Today Show. New research indicates that most left-handers absorbed a twin in the womb. They didn't mention many details; I'm going to have to do some research on why they think that. It makes me kind of sad. I wonder what our twins would have been like?

@ Kayla -- if you do find out about that, I'd be quite interested.

@ John -- what did they do to you?!

I'll look for what I wrote. It wasn't much of anything though, and I'm afraid I deleted it. I'll look, though, and maybe just go ahead and post it if I find it.

And the little dears didn't do too much. It was just several little things that I forgot you have to teach people. Such as--the reading assignment on the syllabus means it has to be read for that day. I'm the first English class they've ever had, so they didn't know that. And one of my students didn't know what it meant to make an "A". And I had one student show up to the first class of the semester and then miss the next nine class periods and then start showing up to class again. Once you miss ten, you fail. Yeah, that sort of stuff...

Kayla,

I guess that if we absorbed our twins, we probably took on some of their characteristics. So, my twin would likely have been like me, I guess. Which would have been awesome!

I think this likely explains why left-handeers are twice as great as righties.
